    • 19th November 2008 - The 2008 Relay Carnival is to be held on Sunday 7th December 2008 at the AIS Athletics Track, from 9am – 4pm. To enter, just complete a form at this weeks club meet.

    • 14th Febuary 2008 - Congratulations to Christopher Dunkley who competed was selected for an competed Australia Cup in Brisbane on Feb 2nd. Details of Christopher's expereince are below.

General

Australia Cup ( Christopher Dunkley)
Here is details of Christopher Dunkley's experience with the Australia Cup:
"I am an athlete in the WLAC U14B. By being a registered LA athlete in the ACT, I was successful to be selected by the ACTLAA to represent ACT, in the U14B 800m event, at the Australia Cup meet in Brisbane on 2 February 2008.

There was an U14 team of 5 boys and 5 girls from ACT, each participating in one event. The runners including myself also competed in the relay event towards the end of the carnival.

This experience was a wonderful first time opportunity for me to compete in athletics at a National level. In my 800m run, I did my best under very humid Brisbane conditions. I came 5th in the race with a time of 2:16 (unfortunately not my PB of 2:12)."
